pics 2003 S500 4-matic

Just got back from the dealership this afternoon were they informed me that during the checkup for delivery they discovered a malfunction in the tire pressure monitoring system. They ordered the parts and expect to still delivery the car to me Thursday, but not in the morning like planned, but later in the day. We shall see, anyway I originaly went there to take some pics for all of u to see, so I snaped away and here they are-----including the tire pressure monitor malfunction. Enjoy and Happy New Year to All

I have the S500 4-matic with sport package and it handles much better in the snow than my old S500. In the old car I would not be able to get up my driveway with a eighth inch of snow on the ground. With the new car I have no problem with the driveway. I know that the sport package takes away from the traction because of the tires, etc.Just wondering how much better it would handle without the package. The other night and today the car drove very nice in the snow, although there was only a light coating of less than a inch. It seems alot heavy than the old S500. It handles good but u must be careful not to expect to much because of 4 wheel drive is not a surburban. Cant wait to see how it handles in 3-4 inches of snow. So far the car is great, just what I expected. Furthur updates to come

I don't think that tyre pressure message is a fault.

When you have increased the tyre pressures (like during the PDI?) you have to reactivate the system and then drive a few miles B4 you get any readings.

Just go to the menu where the tyre pressure read-out normally is and you will see a message telling you to reactivate, press whatever it says to press (+ I think) and then the display will show ‘--‘ for each tyre, drive a few miles and the readings will appear.

The reason you have to do this is that the system needs to know what 'normal' pressures you are using so it can warn you if a tyre goes low.

Been driving the car every day for a couple of weeks now. Great car, very stable, better than I thought, but a little heavy steering at low speeds. Sport suspensionlooks good and handle good.
Heated seats are unbeliveable compared to my old car(2000 S)
Gets hot in 30 seconds to the point I have to reduce the setting.
More to come

Im not sure if its the wheels , but is the car a little higher than the regular S class? Seems to have alot of wheelgap.

Btw...Congrats on your S500, looks soo sexy in black!!

That car is nice. 4-Matic ride height maybe bigger than regular S500. It is AWD. Don't the S500 have adjustable ride height or something or the car automatically squats at high speeds or something.

Nice to see the sport package - MBZ would not allow the Sport Package on W210 E-Class 4-Matics.

Man, that trunk handle is very cool.

$100K car and that's what caught my attention!

PS. Love the color and sport package.
