AMG 55 engine?
i can get a great deal on a e55 kompressor engine with low miles with a new engine block, new custom forged pistons, connectors etc?
should i go for it??
is the engine compatible with my 2003 s500 4matic tranny???
what would i have to do to make it work??

Yea, Sell the 500 get the 600 TT. Imagine the hassle to bring in an 55 Engine plus all the complications and then modding 10-15k out of it will be the same as a $2500 ECU tune on the 600 TT.

I am not sure on this one, but it may be that the torque generated by the supercharged S55 engine will just tear apart your transmission (especially the part leading to the front wheels), because they (probably) were not designed to handle this high amount of torque.
But just imagine a 0-60 sprint ending at 10 mph with a lot of smoke coming from your transmission
Should be funny to look at...
Try it!!

haha lol your prob right on that one.
i had my technician check for me today to see if the transmission could handle it.
he said depends how hard i drive it which equals to not very long
they said better off getting the NA 55 engine and dropping that in to save me a bunch of headaches.

But I think you might be right with the NA one. You better check the torque value in comparison to the S500. For the transmission, it's all about torque, not really hp(at least to some degree).
