Wheels problem and break rotors question
) and that is 275/35/R19 ET 9.5 rear and 245/40 R19 ET 8.5 front. Now, the problem is that every time I hit a bump or get faster into a corner and so the suspension lowers on one side the wheel arch edge rubs onto the tire. The same happens when someone is sitting on the rear seats. I'm confused now since I thought this are serial dimensions for the S65 and so it should fit without a problem on my car but it looks like it doesn't. I don't understand if people have the same problem with theirs 19" or even 20" wheels.
Another interesting thing is (at least I think it's that way) that the wheels rubs harder (and the bumps hit stronger) on the rear right wheel and not the same on both wheels.
Anyone with knowledge on this subject could tell me what the problem is? I'm afraid that the rubbing could damage the tire during driving.
It's night here now but tomorrow I'll post some pictures to give you an idea of how it looks. I'm really worried now and don't understand how other people on their 19" don't have this problem (I guess the standard, if they are standard 19" on the S65 do not have this probem).
Another question is regarding my rotors. I need to replace them in a couple of weeks and while searching for some W220 items on E-bay I have found on sale Zimmerman's drilled rotors for the S600 for a really cheap price in confront of what my dealership asks. Now, if any one knows are those genuine rotors or some kind of fake and better to keep of of those?
Thanks you for your help.
Greetings and best regards,

Greetings and best regards,
BTW.. THe "ET" designation means the Offset not the width as you stated above.
In a 19" offset in excess of 44 in the rear is too much and will rub on a certain tire. Do you have factoory wheels? IF no check the Offset.
As far as Zimmermans go, they are great and are exactly as the OEM.. IF you want to go with the dealer Rotors its your choice. Just remember that Mercedes does not own a Rotor Factory while you are deciding what is fake and what is not.( Smile ). I have Zimmermans on my S all around and I have been very happy with them so far. They were Identical to the ORiginals that I removed.
Good luck.
I have checked and they gave me the wrong wheels although I asked them if they have wheels that fit the W220.
Indeed, as you said, the offset is wrong. I had the original, standard wheels before changing to this wheels and the original have an ET of 44 while this new wheels have an ET of 33. And that is way too much. This wheels are for a E class, CLS or W124 (offset wise).
I'm a "all original" type of guy and so now I have to learned all the "aftermarket wheels" secrets in the hard way
.I'll order new wheels ASAP but in the meantime is it dangerous if I drive with this ones until the new ones arrive?
Apart for damaging the tires and wheels arch by rubbing into each other I'm afraid I might damage the suspension
... BTW, would it help if I keep the car suspension higher (I have ABC) until the new wheels arrive? I don't have a manual so I don't know if the car lowers while driving or it doesn't (although I think it does) ...Thank you for you advice regarding the brake rotors. I'll go with the Zimmermans...
. Yes, I have also thought about that but I do not want to "roll" or "cut" anything on the car. To be honest I'm not very comfortable with that idea and so replacing the wheels seems like the only good option ...Here are some pictures to give you an idea of the situation (just click for a larger image) ....

BTW, can someone with some knowledge on the subject tell me, is it safe to drive like that for the next month (until my new wheels arrive) or am I going to damage the suspension?
Good idea, that it what I have in mind too - driving in the raised position. I was just uncertain if that would make any difference since the car lowers while driving? I have ABC on my car so if I raise it to a higher level and press the ABC Sport button (think it makes the suspension firmer) it should help avoiding more rubbing?
Thanks for your help

Just a question, has anyone ever seen a W220 with this wheels on?
