How reliable is a 2002 S500, Common Problems?
I am thinking about purchasing a 2002 S500 w/ 40K miles. It is in excellent condition. I have never had an MB before. I have had/have many BMWs. (740s and 750s 2001/2000) How is the reliability of the S500 and what are the common problems. I service my own cars. How are they to work on? Thanks.

Some things are quite easy to work on, and others, not so much (primarily those involving calibration using the Star system).
I would suggest you look into a 2003 or newer model.
