WHen your cats are bad it sounds like a valve knocking when you slightly push the gas and the engine is decelerating.. ITs pretty loud after a while. I though I had thrown a rod or something.

I only heard the noise and took it in. My Dealer decided that they should change them both. I'm glad they did. I'd advise you to do the same. There is no point in replacing on side and leaving the other side when It will fail soon anyway.

Good point! Yes mine is/are bad, and out of warranty. Was thinking about the universal fit CATS, and having installed at a independent dealer. Any idea's on labor costs?
It sounds absolutely horrid, lol. I'm so embarrassed sometimes when I pull up to a drive through, light, or parking spot.....lol I know people are thinking wow he sure does have a raggedy Mercedes
