really cold start whiplash noise?
2004 S500 4Matic:
In the morning when I start it up in my garage (around -3°C) I'm hearing this "WISHH WISHH WISHHH WISHH" sound. Couldn't see anything wrong physically in the engine, the belt looks fine and it's tight. The noise goes away when the car reaches normal operating temperature. Any thoughts?

could be the secondary air injection. Its more of a high pitched whine on my car.
If you see some cracking on your belt, you can try replacing it. its cheap ($35ish) and easy to do.

What is the secondary air injection?? My check engine light came on today with that code.
