2000 S500 Parts installation guide
I need to replace a part on my center console, the box between the armrest and the gear shifter. I have the part, only it looks like I will need to remove the gear housing and possible the armrest box.
I was wondering if anybody know where I could get access to the step-by-step guide for replacing MB parts.

its actually quite simple, you will need to remove the center console which isnt that bad
1 first you move both front seats all the way up and you will see a cap on each side covering a screw, unscrew these
2 remove the shift knob, the wood trim that illuminates the gears and the wood peice around that
3 then you will see 2 screws right behind the shifter ( black plastic peice going across)
4 then open your center console glove box (not the one with the phone cradle) a remove the bottom black fabric the covers the bottom and you will see 2 more screws
5 now to remove it put the shift lever into drive and lift the back of the center console first and then pull it out from under the dashboard
