Scrolling through my "preset" radio stations with wheel controls??
Is there a fucntion in the car that will allow me to scroll through only the "preset" stations on the radio from the steering wheel controls- I hate having to "seek" through a number of stations before getting to one of my presets......or is this reason #17 to get a Kenwood 7120?
i think its threw the settings on wheel/gauge cluster... selete presets instead of Frequency and it should work. i like the Frequency setting cause i find alot of underground stations that play good music.

That feature went away with the 2004 COMAND update. You can't do it anymore.
You need the integrated phone to use voice commands right?
No. The MY '00 voice control only controlled the phone. From MY '01 on, it has controlled other functions as well - tape, CD, CDC, and will bring up the nav screen; from at least '05 on, it could direct some nav functions (but you could not input nav destinations by voice control until after MY '06). A phone is not required for the other functions.
In my '05 with the Gateway 500, I can control my iPod to the same extent I can control the CDC.
I don't have voice command in my '06 S65.....now what?
Voice command is installed as part of the phone integration. You can have the dealer do it for about $1,500, and then buy the Bluetooth puck for another $400. I'd do it. The voice operation is very cool, but without a phone integration it's probably hard to justify.

Voice control can also be installed separately (though whoover is correct, it is usually installed at the same time the phone equipment is); see the phone bulletin for the '05 S-Class at http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsit..._bulletins.htm - it would be the same for your '06, as long as the wiring harnesses are present; for MY '06 some harnesses ("prewiring") were made optional equipment in many of the models. If your car's equipment list says "prewired for handsfree" or something to that effect, you likely have the harnesses.
Once installed, the car will have to be version coded to as to gain full function of the voice control module.
However, as whoover suggested, my most frequent use of voice control is for the phone, or sometimes to zoom the nav screen.
