Is this really The problem

So my car battery has been dieing very often, lets say yo don't drive the car for 3 days you need to get it jumped start, this has happend about 8times, so the 1st time i take it to the dealer they changed something i forget what. and the problem happened again, so i took it in again and there saying its the cellphone in the center console, ive never used it, there saying that's draining the whole battery , You think thats really whats causing it, its the 3rd time ive taken it in for the problem.

it could be the problem , but the cold weather / nor driving it / so many electronics could also be. How old is your battery?

The problem is when an S class needs to be jumped the battery is stone dead. With all the electronics (auto doors , auto lights , air suspension / compressor) you need a good strong charge in the battery. You could drive for an hour and barely recharge the battery after it died.

When you go dead you really need to hook the battery to a battery charger and get a real full charge. Then see how it plays out from there.

I think it will probably solve your problem as I have had this problem , and others recently in the forum.

It's often a bad Door Control Module. Take it to another dealer who can diagnose the drain properly.

I have had the battery die twice if I left headlight switch on manual very NEAR the off detent (enough to turn the lights out) but not right on it (I'm assuming that some circuit stays open somewhere). If I switch it back to "auto" or make certain it's right in the middle of the detent, no problems. Are you sure you're alternator is working up to snuff? And, of course, the cold weather will be a problem for the battery. Good luck,

LR
