Arrow 2000 S500 Aux Fan Motor Assy

Can anyone tell me where I can get a aux fan motor assy for a 2000 S500? I tried one suggested site that was given, but it was $695.00 for a 220 Chassis. Isn't there something in the $400-$500 range?

Is it definitely for a 220 chasis and not a 215 chassis? Just want to be sure before I buy. By the way.... has anyone installed one before? It looks really easy to do after looking at it. A couple bolts here and there and it looks like it's out. Are there any surprises?

Fan

That was the same one I bought 6 months ago. On Mine, the motor was bad, so that is all I swapped out. Took only 5-10 min. I saved the complete assembly just in case.
I could not find just the motor anywhere, so I had to spend $$ for the complete assembly.

fan Installation

My fan came today. Looks like its going to fit ok. When I turn the fan "by hand" it makes a terrible noise, so I'm sure it's the bearing in the fan hub somehwere. Looks like its just a couple of bolts and a harness to hook up. Dealer wanted over $1,000 to change it out. Independent shop wanted $850 to do it. I only paid $375.00 plus shipping and a little time to install it.

A-PHI-A-S500... did you already install your fan? How hard was it? My car is starting to make that kind of noise too, I'm thinking to replace it myself too. Can you please tell me how and how long did it take.. just like you said dealer wants $1000 and up.. g???

Fan Motor

I disconnected the belt from the fan motor and let just the fan motor run. This is how I knew it was just the motor and not the fan hub. It took about 10 min to replace just the motor.
