Well first i need to know what is the off set , remove the rear wheels and look at the numbers on the inside of the wheels . 285/30/19 belongs on SL CLS , most likely you rear wheels off set must be ET 35 AND LOWER Possible . LOWER the number more chance of rubbing . I had a CLS 18" WITH 285/35/18 AT ET28 OFF SET on the rear , it rubbed like a ******* , my stock 18" is FRONT 42 AND REAR 44

BTW.
Depending on the Wheel design, width, and lip if it applies, 42 to 46 is the only good offset for the rear running 19's or 20's on an S class. 285 tires work in some cases but only where the ofset is maximum like an ET44 or Et46. Otherwise 275 is the Actual correct size for this car!!.
Those that want to keep trying different things well, more power to you but don't complain when you have no letters on your sidewall because you can;t seem to understand that you just simply can't "make" a certain wheel/tire setup work just because you think it looks cool.
Every wheel out there won;t work on this car no matter how it looks. Learn to accept that an move on to something that works.. it's the best way..
Research before you buy!!!! IF the nice salesman swears up an down it will work, make him or her put it in writing that they will take them back for full refund of they don't.

Check his earlier posts.. The Wheels are wrong and those 285 tires make it worse.. Arlen alreadys knows this.. I guess it was just tsupposed to go away over time.

I know your running 19's not 20's like me, but others have already pointed out in my thread that 285 tyres on an s-class are really wide, and you are gonna have probs.
Look at your pic it looks like the tyres are rubbing on the top of the arch, with it touching when ever you go over a bump in the road.
There are loads of room inside the s-class arch's to go really low, however the rim AND tyre has to fit inside the arch, so when it goes down it doesnt rub.
The first thing you need to do is take the wheel off, find out your current offset, then plan a tyre from there.
Its all about the OFFSET. As I have found out.
Im running a 42offset on the back wheel, which others have pointed out to me is pushing it for a 10inch wide rim.
Get the offset then go from there.

alternatively, it would be possible for you to shave or roll the fenders. i'm not terribly familiar with what you can do in the rear of the w220 to fit wheels, but rolling the fenders and perhaps doing a newspaper pull may allow you to run that wheel/tire combo.
