Your last statement just proved my point exactly. Thank you. All the more reason Audi and Jaguar should be praised for their innovation. Who said anything about making a 2000lb car anyway? Bigger and heavier and more powerful does not equal a better car. The fact is that the S8 weighs that much lighter and doesn't need that much horsepower. Tsk tsk... the fact that you can't see that as innovative just proves that you don't know what you are talking about, or just massaging your ego because you wasted your money on an outdated gas guzzling ugly brick.

And the Bentley and Rolls Royce weigh more also, what's your point? They are great cars for prestige. But they are both outperformed and underengineered by MB, BMW, Audi, etc. As for the Phaeton... what kind of engine does it come with? Exactly, dumbass.

you didn't prove **** in all that you just wrote, as for the phaeton's W-12 engine, it only produces 500 hp on a 5,000+lb car and can't compete against the V-12 600hp amg engine on the new CL65, but I guess you didn't know that either. oh, by the way your "lighter" S8 is 2 seconds slower than a S55 or S600 on the 0-60 and it falls back further on the 0-100 and even further on the 0-150 and I'm sure you didn't know either.

That's the 'old' A8. The new one will probably have a 500+ V10 as seen in a Lambo...just hold your horses matey.

I'm sorry... I've got to chime in here and set you straight.

The W-12 engine in the Phaeton is 420 hp, NATURALLY ASPIRATED. The ONLY reason the almighty Mercedes V12 reaches its horsepower is because of forced induction. Do you know what that is? It's also known as TURBOCHARGING.... although it does crank out higher numbers, it's NOT NA. Take away the turbochargers and see what kind of HP it cranks out. Mercedes has never been praised for their engine design. All they use is those freaking old SOHC 3 valve designs.

VW/Audi has, on the other hand, been very innovative. They invented the VR6 (narrow angle V6), W configuration (which is quite ingenious if you haven't seen it), their 5 valve engines (including the 1.8t)... without AMG Mercedes engines really wouldn't take a second look.....

think about this for a while... just because YOU drive a freaking MB doesn't make it the best car in the world....

who makes the best engine from all the formula one teams?? Mercedes with it's V-10 for team Mclaren and why would AMG be with Mercedes?? not because they got pretty girls. and yes I drive a benz because they're the best. i also chat in a benz forum, if you're so into vw's stop posting here and go chat in your own forum, maybe there you won't leave the safety of your thoughts about your crappy vw and audis.

I like all German cars..... whether they're BMWs, Mercs, Porsches, or "crappy" *** VWs or Audis. At least I look at every side of each car and don't call it crappy if I haven't ever owned it.

SC430: many rappers loved this car because of the bubble top shape.. the SL is great too but only because its faster in switching from hardtop to no top.

also SL has NO i repeat NO competition from anyone because it is in its own class. Its true, thats why we bought a SL, SC430 in my eyes is a ladies car.. :P

I promise you, my 8 year old Lexus will get the ohhhs and ahhhs.. just wait till i get it But then agian, its not going to be stock so i guess i kinda nullified my point because almost any car can be changed.

SC430....I still remember a couple snowstorms ago seeing this one old guy trying to drive his SC430 on the snow covered highways. That idiot spun out and nearly ran into the jersey wall. A couple of guys in a pickup truck stopped to help push him back onto the highway...but it was to no avail. Traction control or no traction control, that car was dead meat.

Meanwhile, I zoomed by in my 4Runner

You would think after all the snowstorms we've had this season, some people will figure out that driving a rear-wheel car is hazardous to everyone. Go Figure.
