A search on "warranty" or "extended warranty" or "aftermarket warranty" will get you information and experience; and act fast, because warranting a car over 100K miles is tough.

You may find the best course, under your particular circumstances, is to keep several thousand dollars in the bank, reserved for repairs.

Getting a third party extended warranty is like a crap shoot. I did an extended reseach, all I read were horror stories. you can have all the essential items in the policy, like wear n tear, heat failures, seal sand gaskets, bumper to bumper, all electronic. But they can always deny your claim with the "pre-existing" loop hole. I had check with all my local dealerships and indie shops, non of them will deal with any of the warranties. Some of them recommended to put the money for the policy in the bank and use it to pay for any future repair. Because those policies can cost from 4k-5k. That is why I decided to be DIY with the help of this forum members. Best regard.
