New Navteq CD's Rel 2/09
Hello All,
I bought the latest Navteq CD's from Mercedes of Atlanta Roswell Rd today. Release 2/09 and part number BQ 646 0248.
I only need disk 9 (South East) and have listed the rest for sale on ebay. The listing links are below just in case anyone is interested...

I dropped out. Just ridiculously high. I'll go buy the whole set and burn copies for people. Some people on fleabay are ridiculous. Glad you are getting half of your entire set paid back from one goofball in California.....just not me.

What's the matter with all these S-class owners? These cars are made for road trips. Although I've graduated to DVD, I remember the excitement of approaching the "falling off the edge of the world" map view when you're about to hit the end of your CD's range. Passenger swaps the CD and the road trip continues.
You guys need to get out more, and have the full set. Every S-class owner should hit the road now and then.

Are you serious whoover, After reading all the horrific stories of people stuck in the middle of no where with their families going on road trips. I would never take a chance with my 02 s500.

I've never been stranded in 450,000 S-class miles since 1982. And that includes 60,000 in a 2001 S55. Maintain it by the book and have a little faith.

I think it went for $144. Either way, too rich for my blood when you consider double that you get to "explore" the rest of north america like they said.
Yes, I'll burn copies when I pickup the set. On the Range Rover forum, nobody sells this kind of thing. They share them amongst themselves which I will do.
Copyright laws be damned!

Fun comments
Have not read my own post in a couple of days, thought i would get email alerts when a new reply is posted . Just goes to show how much of a clue i had.
So, yes, i lucked out on the sale of CD's. My initial thoughts were that i would make some of my money back from the CD's i would not need. Like Whoover said, i do hit the road once in a while, but i try to keep my drive to a four hour radius, so disk 9 was pretty good for me. Plus i have navs on two phones i carry....
Before I decided to go buy my own CD, I had tried to copy one from a friend (rel 08) but while it seemed to copy ok, it would not work in the car
Does anyone know how to make a working copy?

Burning disk
You cannot duplicate the CD's by copying them. I tried on last years and even thought they appeared to copy they would not work in the car. If you want new CD for the navigation system you have to buy them!

did you try burning it again, maybe use software like roxio, sometimes just a copy drive and paste won't work. When I bought my W220 it had a burned copy in it, and it works fine. Just wished I had the newer version without having to buy the whole set. I rarely drive over 4 hours myself.
