Engine OIL - WARNING MESSAGES!!!!!
I am on a trip, so I kept going, several hours later a RED MESSAGE appeared in the dash, saying ENGINE OIL LEVEL, Stop Car Turn off Engine, I stopped and checked again, same level as before.
Called roadside, called my normal service advisor, called another dealership and got a mix of ideas:
1. Bad Sensor
2. TOO MUCH OIL - even after I told him how low it was on the dipstick,
3. Too little oil - add some
4. That the oil has expanded after the car has been driven for a few hours and that is why the message is on, after I told him I measured it within 5 minutes of turning off the car and the dipstick measurement was still in the minimum area that didn't make sense to me.
Anyone ever experience this and/or have any ideas????
Gee, reduce oil message and add oil message all in a few minutes...
