I think I really wish I had partronic. Driving the Infinitiy q56 I got so spoiled by the beeping, and rear camera that I rarely look a the mirror, almost hit my other car with my w220 today
Oh ventilated/heated seats would be nice

Sounds like a reason not to have Parktronic.

I took a car without Parktronic over one with it because I think the the bottle-cap transducers on the W220 spoil the looks of the bumpers. It was my second W220 and I know where my car ends. It sounds like it also makes you a less alert driver.

For a car as big as this one, parktronic is essential, imho, and I would never buy a 220 or other S-class without them. My parking garage is a little tight, and parktronic has been great.

I think the only other option that I could possibly have is the heated steering wheel, so I guess that would be the one I wish I had.

That's the other option I'd hate. For one thing, it's not real important in California. For another, it's a wood wheel, right? When I'm driving in a, shall we say, spirited fashion, a leather wheel is mandatory. Sweaty hands and lacquered wood are not the best combination at 140 MPH.

How about options you can do without?

The 4-zone climate control is cute, but the reality is I use it very, very rarely. On the other hand, it deletes the center storage which is a major PITA. I really miss it from my S55.

I think it comes back to the difference in how we use our cars. I use mine as a daily driver to get to the train station and back. It gets cold in the north east, and even with leather/cashmere gloves, my hands get cold from the steering wheel.

However, I can't say that I've ever felt a loss of control with my wood steering wheel, even on the rare occasion that I've touched triple digits.

I agree that this is a neat feature to have, but I don't use it much and could use the storage space.

To be frank, I could also do without the rain sensing wipers. They just never seem to be at the right speed for me.

I love the wipers. But that's not an option, so we'd need another trick for "stupid Mercedes tricks."

I agree with you on those wipers! Whenever it just "sprinkling" out they go too fast and make that gawd awful streaking sound

I would have wanted 4 zone climate and rear seats that move

Adding the park and go keyless entry, that would be hot too

I leave my auto wiper feature off unless I need it. It seems to me that the amount of water coverage on the windscreen when the feature is first activated has some effect on the frequency at which it re-activates. For example, if it is misting and I activate with very little water, it will wipe more often than if I let some water accumulate, then activate auto wipe. It's as if the sensor is setting itself to the level of water you'll tolerate before you want wiping to occur.

Of course, as rain gets heavier, wiping frequency speeds up.
