MP3 music on DVD slow to load

I burned some MP3 music from Itunes onto a DVD so i may play it in my command. Whenever i turn the car or the radio off an turn it back on the DVD seems to take a long time to load, literally minutes to load. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem. Not sure what to do to solve it. I have tried closing my discs but that didn't help. I notice it takes longer on DVDs that have more mp3 songs.

I also hate how if I am trying to change songs quickly, the thing jams up on me. I'm wondering if the memory card reader has this problem or an ipod integration kit.

Actually that's not an issue at all. It perfectly normal lthough a pain.

I made a thread years ago explaining this, so I can; find it now but the short story is that LOAD is the keyword. Comand has to load alll of the data from the cd so it reads from that point out of RAM memory instead of from the disk like a normal computer would. As a result it will take up to 3 or more minutes to load the disk depending on how many songs, and the consistency of the data.

When you turn off your car for a wie te memory dumps and it takes time to reload the disk. Normally shory stops shouldn;t affect this ut there is really nothing you can do to change it if it does..

Hope this helps.

Mine is very slow also... normal operation. If you have a lot of songs and start scrolling around the thing will jam up.

Dension Gateway 500. Alternatives would be mObridge or iTronics units. A little searching will get you a LOT of information. I have been very satisfied with my Gateway 500.
