Hello friends, my car is acting weired. the smart-key wont unlock the car after the car has been left without turning on for more than 3-4 hours. I have to use the metal key and open manually which triggers the alarm. I took the car to the dealership, but they couldnt find anything wrong. do any of you guyz know what's going on. Please Help

But I took it to the MERCEDES Dealer here and they gave me a diagnostic stating everything is good. both battries on the key and the car is good. the infra-red both on key and the car is good. what could it be?? its driving me crazy.

Change the batteries, inspect the FOB yourself, then change dealers.. I see you;ve found another stupid one.

Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna try what u said. but the car is at the dealer again. I just had the service-B done and they messed up my headlight washer. now instead of spray of water to the headlights, I get a fountain of water from my headlight washer - enough to wash the whole car. plus I also had the brake pads changed because it started sweaking, but the squeaking got worse after they changed the pads. so as U said - I think I found another stupid one!!!
