German vehicles stink, will never buy again. Moved on to Toyota and BYD.
Bluetooth garbage?

I have the bluetooth adapter and find that the quality of phone signal is soo poor that it makes it completely useless.

Has anyone else had this problem? I am using it with a Nokia E71.

I also hate the fact that I have to reboot my phone for it to pair properly after 1-2 of times of going in and out of the car.

I got a new BlueAnt Supertooth 3 from Amazon, it works well and sets up in 2 minutes. Take a look at it at: www.myblueant.com

I was speaking of the MB bluetooth adapter that goes under the arm rest. Maybe I need to look at an aftermarket solution.

Exactly my point Reckless, I just went with an aftermarket unit (BlueAnt S3) and all works fine. The unit announces the caller, you say OK, the call connects. If your hand set has voice dialing, you say: Call Bob and it dials it, etc.

Cost was $83.00 from Amazon. I like it.

I had a BAS3 and I tossed it for the MB system. The BAS3 is the best cheap solution I have used, but it no way compares to the MB systems. Your phone was most likely having compatibility issues or your system was faulty.

MAybe its your carrier, the phone, or just your general signal. My module has been great for the past 3 years.. I think useless is kind of an overstatement. if you have to keep repairing your phone, shouldn't that be an indicator to you that there is something else going on??

myo6clk might be right. Wireless service in the US is in sorry shape. All these new Smart Phones are choking the wireless networks with huge amounts of data being transmitted over these old systems. I use an iPhone and in a major metropolitan area my dropped call rate is about 40%, when it does connect, voice quality in extremely poor.
