if driven very aggresively the transmission disengages HELP

My 2003 S500 is acting odd. After taking a very hard corner a few times the car does not accelerate. Everything is still on and the engine is running but the tranny is not engaged then yesterday it did this after a WOT from a stop 0-80 mph.

Each time just pulling over putting it in park and turning it back on it then works fine

Also if you just drive the car "normally" it never acts up and shifts perfect

What gives?? No error messages etc just this odd occurance

My guess is that your tranny fluid is low. You can't really check it yourself since there is a tab you need to replace and no real dipstick if I am correct. Just bring it to the dealer or an Indy and have them look for you.

Wink tranny problem

I had the same problem recently and took it in to the MB dealer. They coded it and found the sensor boot leaking fluid. It was down two quarts which caused the slipping and coming out of gear. They replaced it, refilled the fluid, and test drove it. Now it is as smooth as silk. And it only cost me $188. If you let it go too long, the fluid can crawl up the sensor wires and get into the control module and ruin it.
