idle vibration

idle vibration
My 02 s430 79K miles is idling a little rough. drives perfectly smooth and just when I sit at red light idling it vibrates a bit. What should I do before I take it in to a shop.

I had some rough vibrations at idle too with my S55 2001 - my motor mounts were collapsed, and there was a vacuum in the engine area since the power brake hose came off. Check the motor mounts though, that could be it.
If it isn't that, it could be spark plugs - although at 79k miles they should still be OK, mine were still good at 120k when I changed them.

got some free advice from a shop owner since I bought in my ML55 for some major work.
He said it is probably the wires. 1 or 2 may be bad. My car is about the same roughless with the Transmission on N or D. so it isnt the engine mount. Usually engine mount vibration will be less at Neutral and more noticable on Drive.
I'll probably change out all the plugs and wires myself.
