2006 S350 lock down?
I have 2006 S350, just had yearly maintainence done, they changed the steel air valve covers to plastic stating that steels ones cause interference wih air pressure monitoring system. So like 2 days after the service, air pressure warning comes on. I check air pressure, it is bit on the high side, like 36 or so. anyways I resent the warning, reactivate the air pressure monitoring system, I was going to reduce air pressure next evening, in the morning while going to work, all of suddent everything electronic shut down in the car, like command, display lights, car did not shut, i was close to home so was able to drive back, transmission wans;t even shifting, nothing electirc worked, like even garage door opener. so I tunred it off and went to work on other car. now, next day, when i try to start the car, key won't turn like it happens when stirring wheel is locked but it is not. no lights come up, even car key is open and close locks is not working, the car is in kind of a shut down/lock down mode, i did not get any warming on the dislay before this happened.
Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

The two problems are unrelated and just coincidence. Sounds serious, time to have it towed to a service center. I hope you are still under MB warranty.
Good Luck!

Porblme is it is in Park and it won't even let me change shift to N so it can be moved out of garage and then towed. this is very strange. I have third party extended warranty which was good last time, any other suggestions?
Thanks

I see you're pretty new to the forums.
My best guess as to your electrical problems is a bad EIS (Electronic Ignition System) module. Its failure would act as if you had shut the car down when you had not - and it would fail to start.
Your TPMS problem is likely not related. However, your TPMS must be recalibrated after the red warning comes on. See post #6 at https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post2749528. Reset procedures are also in your owner's manual.
The refusal of the car to shift could be related to the ignition system; but if it persists, then it is the infamous "stuck in park" problem discussed at https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post2143652
There is absolutely no "interference" problem with TPMS and metal valve stem caps. MB posted a warning that steel valve stem caps can cause an electrolytic reaction with the valve stems, causing corrosion such that the valve stems (which are part of the TPMS sensor) could not be removed from the wheel. Many metal valve caps are brass with a Rhodium plating - I'm not aware of problems with those.
