Crazy Starting Problem ..
Curious if anyone else has had this issue:
01 S500, starts on first shot every time.
Then, starting on Christmas a specific problem came up .. after driving, then parking for 20minutes-2 hours (guessing on the high end) .. it won't start.
Everything turns over fine, repeatedly, not a starter or battery issue. What makes it more interesting is that, after 20-30 minutes of repeated trying, it will catch and start.
This is not a problem on a daily basis .. when I turn the key in the morning .. first turn, starts right up. After sitting for 8 hours in the garage at work, 1st turn, starts right up.
Drive from work to get my haircut, car sits for 1 hour .. will not start .. multiple attempts and it will eventually catch after about 20-30 minutes.
Feels a lot like a fuel injector problem, but curious if anyone has ever heard of or experienced anything like this.

Looking like I'm the only one to experience this issue .. possibly the computer controlling the fuel injectors I'm thinking also. Will take her into the shop next week hopefully, until then, no short (time wise) trips I guess!

look up crank sensor in the search forum tab there has been a ton of people who have had the same issue. I dont remember what it cost but not too bad. its an easy DIY project.
