Mirror blinker suggestions
I'm on the hunt for a set of aftermarket blinkers to replace the OEM's that are on the way out.
Does anyone have any particular experience with one brand or seller vs another, particuarly in the area of quality and installation without tripping the lamp monitor?
I bought one set off eBay that looked to be OK quality, but they were garbage. When installed, which was no easy task as they didn't fit the mirror cover easily, they triggered the "blinker out" warning message.
I've read several posts on how to swap the blinkers, etc, but none made any reference to having trouble with the warning message, nor did they identify the seller.
I've got experience with other cars with lamp monitors and LED's and the usual solution to warning messages is to install a resistor across the leads to the led lamp to trick the monitor system. But this was only in situations where I was replacing a incandescent bulb with an led. Plus, there's a lot more room under the fender of a car to mount a resistor than there is inside the mirror cover, which I doubt there's any spare space there at all.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I used those:

The fit perfectly and don't show any "lamp out" message. These fit for the first series, not for the upgrade. I guess they are Taiwan made but look good and work fine. It is my second set since for the first set the clear plastic started to turn yellowish, after 4 years. No big deal
