A/C not working
A/C not working
I have a '04 s430.
Went to turn on a/c and the "a/c off button light" (on the climate controll panel) stays on, and the a/c does not work. Any ideas as to the problem before I bring it to the dealer?
Thanks for any help

Yes. You are likely low on refrigerant. The light will not go out and the system will not cool until the system is serviced; it's a self-protection mode for the compressor, which is lubricated by the refrigerant.
It's best to let a dealer or certified independent tech take a look at it for other trouble codes; or you can check them out yourself. See the sticky at the top of the W220 forum, and look under Air Conditioning.
