oil fill poss leak

hello new 2001 s430 52560 miles just purchased curious to know is it normal to have oil seeping from the gasket directly below oil fill tube. I have enjoyed the numerous posts and info on this site and will be here a while will post pics this week. thanks

normal, no.

common, yes.

Its the breather cover. remove cover, clean channel, apply new gasket maker, replace cover, done.

almost free and very easy to do.

just be careful with the small allen screws. They will strip like nothing or just snap, so literally tighten by hand.

Could this be why I run low on oil so often? Would I be able to see this leaking on the ground after parking?
