What tire size should I buy for my new rims

I got the 19" AMG staggered 5-spoke one piece Chrome rims for the 2000 S430, I need to get new tires for them, they originally had 255/40s in the front and 285/35s in the back, i was wondering if I should get the same sizes or different ones.

I think the correct sizes should be 245-40-19 fronts and 285-35-19 rears. Both of these tires will give you an overall diameter of 26.6". 255's in the front may cause rubbing when you turn the wheels all the way to the right or left. Besides, the diameter of the 255's are bigger than the 285's. You would end up with a tire that is slightly taller in the front and your car will look like it's sagging in the rear.

245-40-19 fronts and 275-35-19 rears is what I'm rolling - I thinks the 285 size is hard to come by

TireRack shows 3 different brand/model tires for 285-40-19 and only 2 different brand/model tires for 275-40-19. But they do have a matching set of Dunlop SP9000 in 245-40-19 for $216.00 and 275-35-19 for $225.00. I think they're on sale right now. Better grab them quick.

I don't think it has the sport package. The AMG rear apron is much smoother. It is harder to tell on a black car.
