2000 s500, 1966 sl230
Approved-advised Synth Oil
Help - We have just obtained a 2000 S 500 and it's time to change the oil.
I want to go with Synthetic - thinking Mobil - but have not seen any definitive advice on what to use - or approved to use (Brand-viscocity).
I'm in VA (Wash DC area) so we can get hot in the summer - but usually not that cold in the winter.
It's got roghly 92K miles.

You can use either the mobil 0w-40 or the esp 5w-40... both are approved. The only diffrence is the 5w-40 was introduce for the blue tec desil engines for emissions reasons.... If you can find the 0w-40 it might be less expensive
