Automatic Time Adjustment

I went to change the clock on my 2003 S class for daylight savings time and was suprised to see that the system had automatically adjusted the time on its own. Nice feature MB!

well, for 35$ you can get a cd-player clock/alarm that will adjust itself automatically, for 90,000$ you are surprised it will do it too?? psst.

I was also surprised that the clock automatically adjusted. I do not believe that $35 clock knows what time zone you are. Anyway, adjustung clock in $90K Lexus is a bit problem, but get an additional clock with CD player is odd.

Your car doesn't know what time zone it is in either. You need to tell it, rahter your dealer tells it when they initally prep the vehicle. They enter via COMAND that the vehicle is in the USA and then sets the time zone. I just had to change the timezone for a firend whos dealer mistakenly set it to USA/Yukon Time Zone vs USA/Pacific Time Zone.

Mercedes does adjust for daylight savings time automaticaly since it is GPS based but...

I would really be impressed if the clock automatically adjusted to the time zone the car is currently in. This has to be done manually.

oh yea, that would be a nice feature. another cool feature on the S is the estimated time arrival, even though its rarely correct, just makes u feel like ur in an airplane or something, :p
