well to set the record straight i am 24, paid for my car on my own. i work for an options trading firm at the pacific stock exchange. i also buy and sell cars on the side. no i did not make money on ebay no i did not make money overnight. yes i can prove the car is in my name.also i can prove that my ml is paid for in my name. i think all these punks talking and talking and making storieswith no proof, should just get off the computer and go waste more of daddys money.

Options trader nice.....

Should I buy calls or puts on the SPX?

Most of my trades get executed on the CBOE not the pacific exchange.

Got burned and bought puts on the SPX during the prelude to the war and the market just went up. Just could not understand why. Not a major loss, but lost like 5k. Could of been a nice set wheels.....

Any advice that you can offer.....

no advice at the moment. it seems like most of the orders go to the cboe or the ise. as far as the spx none of the traders in our firm trade index options. we had a qqq trader at one time but thats about it.

I shorted SMH Monday and I am up a little right now. Probably buy it back at $24.50 to $25.00. The stock gapped up on 4/16 and will probably cover that gap soon. Instead of options, you should trade the qqq and smh. The q's are less volatile than SMH. Your not going to make a lot at a time but it beats losing a set of nice rims. Just my 2 cents.

QQQ - Nasdaq 100 Trust. It is the Nasdaq 100 index traded like a stock. SMH is the Semiconductor Holders Index also traded like a stock. In fact you can trade the S & P index with SPY.

Sorry, I wasn't referring to the options. Guess I should have made that clear. I lost money in options before. I agree, options are very volatile. The only options trading I do now is sell covered calls and I don't do that much

Yeah, you need to drill two holes or cut two pegs your choice. Read below:

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT ON THE NEW LIGHTS, THERE IS ONE EXTRA PLASTIC PEG AND ONE EXTRA BOLT (I DON'T KNOW WHY MB DID THIS). THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO GET AROUND THIS AND THAT IS EITHER TO REMOVE THE PEG (BY SNIPPING IT WITH SOME SHARP PLIERS) AND THE BOLT OR DRILL TWO EXTRA HOLES INTO THE MOUNTING LOCATION. I CHOSE TO DRILL THE EXTRA HOLES TO KEEP THE WATERTIGHT CHARACTERISTICS OF THE NEW LIGHTS. YOU CAN USE THE RUBBER SEALS INCLUDED TO MARK THE HOLES. TOOK ABOUT AN HOUR TO REMOVE THE OLD AND INSTALL THE NEW TAIL LIGHTS ON. FORTUNATELY, THE CONNECTOR IS THE SAME. OH AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOME TOUCH UP PAINT TO COAT THE HOLES AFTER DRILLING TO PREVENT RUST (YOU'RE DRILLING INTO METAL).

Looks like more LED's than the old one or is it just more reflective?

ACTUALLY, SAME AMOUNT OF LEDS BUT WITH THE PLASTIC BEING MORE REFLECTIVE AND MORE CRYSTALLINE IN APPEARANCE. BASICALLY THE RED PLASTIC IS MUCH MUCH CLEARER.

Actually, I'm aware of quite of a few young people, who rack in lot of money doing this iso stuff, at young, or very young age: they program access card for satellite TV. $300/card, couple hundreds, or sometime thousand cards per month. Not much knowledge needed, monkey see, monkey do.
Most of them are so screwed up right now. Get busted, some are even doing time. All was stripped to their last pennies. Companines like Directv and Dish were ignoring these kids before, but in the last two years, they make sure every single one of them, who're doing it for serious $$, to regret that they get into this.
There's a guy in Anahiem doing this kind of programing access card stuffs. When they busted him last year, he had close to $2 mil cash in his kitchen.

Hey i can relate somewhat to these people. Im 18 and just bought my 740il. It was between the 7 and a s430. After driving both i opted for the 7 obviously for the better driveing experiance, much more sporty then s430. I pay for every penny of my cars $750 payment each month. Im a licensed insurance broker/agent as well as a full time student. I dont have money for "dubs" yet cause my car payment is so big.

One of the reasons i dont believe either of the kids have what they say they do is because they brag about it. When people ask me what kind of car i have i just say a bmw. Their trying to through such a big front that you wont doubt them. Some people really have mental problems/complexs and usually you find them on the internet.

Hey CALIZ_FINEST what kind of bmw do you have?

No longer car shopping...
Lightbulb OK, I know what they did

I agree with the prior poster, some of these underage guys appear to have been selling the Satelitte programming components for the DTV/DSS world. This was about the ONLY way to make money with the ISO7816 chips and was probably the ONLY way they could have made that kind of money. I know that industry VERY well as I once played with the simple HEX code (once you understand the codepoints, it's childsplay. Mikey! and Learningman were two key resources that helped me understand how it all worked). Many of the guys doing it were "under age" and many had assistance from thier folks to continue the scam. Things got REAL hot late last year and many, many of the online sellers got busted (Almost all the selling sites are down and trhe feds have cracked down on eBay. Therefore, they have no easy access to the open market - I guess they are also unimaginantive if that's the only outlet they had). IMO that's a good thing. Many were simply taking public knowledge software code directly off the internet and pairing it with "readily available" hardware and making a mint. Was a shame. If you think that's the way the world works, your in for a big surprise! Cool to see some options traders on here. I made about $3K a month trading options my last year in college ('86/'87) but only do a few things here and there now. It's a great time to get back in though. Anyone watching AES, AV, or AMCC? 100% increases in less than a week on all three...
