Right Strut Airmatic Lifts Half way
Hi Everyone.
I have a 2004 S500 4 matic. I have done a lot of reading on these sites but haven't seen anyone with my problem. My right strut sinks when parked, but when the car turns on, it lifts half way. Meaning the compressor pumps into the tire and it lifts, but not all the way high like the other tires. Tried the soapy water test and no leaks from the upper strut. I would imagine if there was a leak, it wouldnt stay raised at half the level.
Also the right rear tire is low so i know there is no fix on that so i guess I will purchase from Arnott.
But if anyone has any ideas on DIY fix for the right front strut or do i just have to replace it completely. Not sure what would make it raise at half a level. Does it just need calibration or something?

If you take off the right front wheel and spray the actual strut while the car is running (take special measures for safety since it will be up on jack stands) and I think you'll find the strut is leaking to the point it cannot carry full capacity. Your compressor will get over-worked and it will need replacing next unless you remedy this issue.
