Question Reguarding Quad Exhausts Muffler Tips

Hi,

Ive been searching on ebay for "Quad Exhaust Muffler AMG Tips" and i come upon this item http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-W220-S500-S430-Quad-exhaust-muffler-AMG-Tips-/250314431576?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &fits=Year%3A2006|Model%3AS350

I need someone please to confirm for me that this will fit on my 2006 S350 (i currently have the hidden muffler under the back bumper)

Thank you.

A Mercedes obviously!
They're way too short and will look cheesy IMO. You'd just need to stand to one side and they'll be really obvious. I love the OEM dual chrome tips on my exhaust (600) but from the side, crouched down they look short and they several times the length of those. Those are just stubs!

they look great in the pics , but I would need to see them installed.

A bad installation can make them look terrible if they stick out too far showing the black, or dont stick out enough.

Hi,

Thank you for your replies.
I already have a good idea of what its going to look like after installation.

But my main questions are,
1) Will this item fit on my 2006 Mercedes Benz S350?
2) How does installation work with this item.

I would say it would fit (but check with the seller anyways).
By the looks of it it has a little hole on the top part. It looks like you'd be screwing something in there ( <-- This sounded kinky)

I used the "compatibility chart" on sellers page and it clearly shows they fit all models of the '06 350.

I have those same ones on my 2005 S500 and love the way they look. They have a cheap look but after you put them on it changes the look of the car. There are three bolts on each side to keep it on the tail pipes. You just slide them over your tail pipes and tighten the bolts just enough and stand back check and adjust, and final tighten the bolts. It took me less that 10 minutes to put them on, no special tools needed, you only need a wrench I think it was 1/2 inch or 13mm.

DON'T wast your money and forget those tips they look crap when viewed from the side and can fall off if not fitted correctly (I lost one and had to buy a new set). I hade them fitted to my car for 2 years and was constantly aware of the crap side view. Eventualy I binned them and replaced them with a set of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...Q5fAccessories They fit snug against the muffler and look just perfect from the side. Also they are a correct fit for your car., your existing down pipe fits into the top and is secured with some grub screws and the back end clamps the the muffler for added security.

you have an S-Class not a Honda Civic. If I caught you with that, I would personally pull up to you and laugh in your face.

I think they look fine, shorter lenght makes them more realistic..

those things look absolutely retarded from the side. I do point and laugh every time I see that junk. They are flat out miserable.

These are probably the best fit for quad tips..
but they cost a bit more.. I had a set of those small ones and threw hem in the trash.
