CD magazine and phone "missing"
Just bought a nice 2000 S500 owned by Morris Day (singer). Came with the 1999 Nav C model (using 2004 "C" CD discs) that works fine. The V60 phone must have been working, now gives a phone missing. Same with the CD changer, states magazine missing. I tried a different magazine, no change.
I went to the Nav diagnostic pages (Mute + 1 +3 for 5 seconds)
All the components actual vs specified were correct as a no fault.
000 1C8 1C8 (comand)
001 108 108 (Bose Amp)
002 0F0 190 (CD Changer)
003 190 0F0 (Telephone)
004 1F8 1F8 (voice control)
Under Error codes
SAE Code N1116 Type 0X0000 CNT 001 State P
SAE Code B1734 Type 0X0000 CNT 001 State P
I know the voice module is proned to fail, but when I click it, I hear the voice fine.
Any one have an idea why the CD changer and phone are "missing"
also have entire CD set for the "C" Nav version 2004 which was last one issued for the 1998-late 1999 Nav unit before they changed to the "D" version.
