Oil Change question/problem
Ok, I finally changed my oil. The old oil looked as if it has not been changed in awhile. However here’s the problem. Before the oil change the temp level stayed at 80c. It never moved past the 80 degree mark. Now it is running in the upper 80s to 90s. I can actually tell when the thermostat starts working because the gauge will drop back toward the 80c mark. If I’m in the garage with the car running the temp starts to creep up to 90c. Its never done that before. I replaced the oil with 0w40 Mobil 1 full synthetic oil.
Could this be happening because I did not use 5w40?

You used
the correct oil 0w40 is spec
the temp is normal the tstat opens at 87c
