NEED Immediate Help! Battery Draining Overnight

IM posting this from my mobile Phone:

Hey Guys, so I had to jump start the car today and I think I'll be needing to do it tomorrow as well. I made a post about a strange clicking noise a week ago. Well that drained my battery overnight last night. I assume it's the soft close door feature that's running non-stop and just killing my battery. This will keep repeating unless I sort this out ASAP.

Where is the Fuse and Relay for it? I looked at the detailed Diagram of the Fuse/Relay chars and found nothing about it.

Symptoms
A.)Whats more strange is when it starts clicking, I just need to open the rear door and it stops.
B.)When I open the driver side door it starts clicking like crazy

I made 3 videos to show the symptoms maybe someone will know.

First Video. It's clicking and I open the the rear passenger door and its gone.

2nd Video: I open driver door and it starts. I shut it and gone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY7u6nVJYko
3rd Video: I open the passenger door and it starts. I shut it and gone

Thank You very much!

Pull the yellow 20 amp fuse in the fuse panel below the back seat - behind the courtesy light on the right side. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...oft-close.html

Thank You SkyLaw

I just went to the car and found yellow 20, get this the metal subframe housing around the fuse panel is covering 1/4 of the fuse. I can't physically pull it out!! I used the pliers and pulled and pulled. It's not even budging. I guess I'll do this with daylight tomorrow in the morn. Right now it's so dark I had a flashlight in one hand.

Ugh! Got out of work today and ready to drive home and guess what. Yeap! Dead Battery.

That stupid pump killed it again or something. I can't physically pull the fuse the metal housing is blocking the fuse and the fuse base/box wont budge down. There is just no space or anything. Its jammed and 1/5 of the top is covered, no way to pull it out

I just pulled the Negative Terminal and let's see if battery reset will fix this

You should disconnect the battery when you exit the car so it doesnt keep draining....else you are going to burn out the pump or whatever is clicking constantly and that will be BIG $$$$

I did an overnight Reset and when I turned the car on all seemed fine for about 30 minutes. I drove around and it was silent and I was happy. Then on the highway boom it started again and now its back to normal clicking.

Gonna take it to the shop I guess

Update:

I met up with 02S430 and he did an amazing job of helping me. He removed the backseat and was able to get to the fuse box and remove yellow 20. Unfortunately it still kept making that noise. So it's not the soft close pump that's for sure. Thanks Chris for the help , Now we eliminated one of the possibilities.

So Update:

It was the REAR SRS Motor, I just unplugged it until I get a replacement. I also got a new battery as a precaution. Also removed the resonators while I was in the shop, sounds loud!

Big Thanks to 02S430 and Oxygen with his STAR. I flew them out to Germany and they were nice enough to take the time out of their schedule to help inspect my car . What Great Guys! I got some new cool features programmed into the ECU as well

Thanks for the update! Had never seen quite the same problem described.

Were you able to position the SAM so that the 20-amp fuse is removable, if you should ever have to reach it?

The SAM seats into the metal sub-frame and then bolts in. There is no way to position it. It's the same story, I think this is the story with the 00-02(i'm 02) Models?

I sat in the car and heard a clicking noise coming from the REAR SAM Box after I locked the car and the alarm was enabled. The sound was only coming on when I locked the car, So I decided to push the Tow-Away hook button and it would make that noise each time I tapped.

It was the Tow-Away Hook, defective relay I pulled it and it stopped making the clicks, I'm guessing it was trying to activate the whole time the car was off and draining the battery. I'll let you know for sure how the car will start tomorrow and if that was the culprit.

Hi OXYGEN and every one. That is my first message in your wonderful forum. I have found the forum informative nd indispensible for a mercedes benz owner. My car had the usual issues like CAT rattle and airmatic pump failure which I was able to rectify with the help of your forum. However yesterday I had a warning sign regarding a low beam R check bulb as well as side bulb R check Bulb. I replaced the side one as it was visibly burned, However the low beam one was not visually showing any burn damage. However i replaced it too. Now the side bulb working but not the low beam one. Every other bulb in that side and L side working. No fuses to check as it indicates in the fuse chart ELECTRONIC FUSE. The wiring seems to be in very good condition at the bulb point as well as the main connector behind the headlight connector. Any ideas what can be the fault ?? Thank you
