HELP! Replacing rotors and pads..3rd time...can't fix vibration
I have already replaced these pads and rotors TWICE. brake at 60+ and I have vibration that wasn't there before. followed instructions from blog. greased pins holding pads, followed pad bed-in instuctions..still have vibration at 60+ braking.
Tried using old shim with cut-out over new shim(solid) on the back of the pads, as well as only the new ones that come on new pads..still have vibration.(which are you supposed to use? new ones..old ones..old over new...???)
Where should you grease besides pins?
Please help with suggestions....

I haven't heard of greasing the brake pad retaining pins but brake paste is applied between the pads and the brake shims.
I would use the new shims that come with the brake pads for that car and the paste is already applied to the pads on the OEM parts.

What did you use to clean the packing grease off of the new rotors? If there is grease on the rotors you will end up with that problem. Use a good brake cleaner (not gasoline it has oil in it) and clean them inside and out.
