Farewell to my beloved W220 S600...
Car was sold without AMG 65 engine cover and no longer has AMG tranny computer. Chris, if you want to sell these two items and any other spare parts, please send me an PM.
Things to do next week:
-Install AMG S65 engine cover and rear AMG brake calipers
-Transmission ECU flash
-Ship wheels off for refinishing
Again, please excuse the poor quality pictures. Will post some better pics after mods and an extensive 5-step Menzerna detail.

I do not have the engine cover or anything else for the car, it was sold all in one piece. Someone must have raped it along the way. Poor thing.
I ask because someone I know has been shopping for a few S65's for customers....

I got the Radenergie wheels refinished, installed AMG engine cover, Renntech TCU, new snow performance pump and controller, AMG 65 struts, complete front suspension overhaul, and rear 4-piston brake calipers (not installed yet).
Driving this car is like low-level flying. I have never driven anything soo fast or powerful. Just to give everybody an idea, the MPH display on the speedometer counts in increments of 10.

Thank you sir! It's so crappy out... I will not have any nice pictures for a few days.

First of all the AMG Drive Dynamic seats are incredible, it feels like you're sitting on air.
The additional half liter of displacement along with a very aggressive exhaust note and crisp throttle response remind you that this is an AMG product every time you touch the gas pedal.
The AMG ABC suspension makes the car feel like it's an SL.

I don't know... maybe I'm buggin' but it just feels really different. Maybe it was the withdrawal from the W220 for the past 5 months.




Congrats on the new purchase. I am Hyder's brother. The S600 is truly an awesome car. It has been fun getting her back to 100%. I wanted to ask you, do you know the status of the ECU tune? Was it flashed to accommodate the addition of the S65 turbos?
Like Hyder said when we bought the car the steering wheel shift buttons were not working. The folks at Renntech were able to help us flash a S65 file on the TCU and get us back up and running.
Traction: I am sure you will run into the same problems we are having and hopefully a Quaife rear end will fix that. Already spoke to Bruce and plan on doing that soon.
Any suggestion on the Meth injection: What mix were you using? Were you running meth while daily driving.
And finally...any other red flags you know of that need to be addressed on the car?
I am not sure what happened between here and you and how the engine cover and the TCU went missing...
I think you can do a Kleemann LSD in the 600/65, the Quaife will not fit.
Bruce and I were using a 50/50 mix with the meth injection. Only used it once while at MIR drag racing. Never for daily driving.
Only red flags I can think of is to check all of the ABC hydraulic lines. I replaced the HPE line and the pump but I remember there were some "sweaty" hydraulic lines by the transmission and by the rear axles.




Looks like I blew out the driver's side coil pack... misfires on cylinders 7-12. Poop. Got an appointment at MB on Monday, they said it should be fixed by 4:00PM on Tuesday.

also too i wanted to say ive rode in both s600 and s65 stock and the s65 scared me in a way that i got addicted and now want me a W220 S65 even if it just sits in the garage!!!
