Make your your airmatic suspension is working as should. 2006 was the last year of the W220 and the issues are sorted but ANY car you buy with the airmatic is prone to failure. Have that looked at. Do you have any warranty?

Thanks. The car was a one owner trade on another S class, all records look good, only reason i bought it. I was just looking for an honest opinion on what to expect with the miles that are on it. Thanks in advance.

Make sure the basic maintenance stuff is done or will be done, per the owner's manual. (Oil changes, Spark plugs, filters, etc)

Otherwise, listen to the car and always act on any unusual noise that you may hear, as it may indicate a failing part. There are many components in this car, so there isn't a specific life span for certain items, so you just have to stay on the maintenance as much as possible and fix things as they happen.

airmatic and accelerator pedal/crank position sensor are common failure items.

put a Hella relay so your airmatic pump doesnt burn out

read the sticky thread at the top of this forum for common issues

also, heavy car/front end, so depending on roads the control arms are worth monitoring. otherwise, enjoy
