2014 E350 4matic sedan
I personally have a MB extended warranty for 3 more year. But my dealer is recommend Fidelity, which they carry, for ones who don't want to get MB. My SA also said the insurance sold by AAA is pretty good. But all those insurance may not pay 100% of the hourly labor cost, you might have to make up the different.

For what kind of W220?
I went with the Chrysler warranty as it covers ABC, was very reasonably priced and recommended by many on here. 5yrs/70,000 miles for $3220 w/$200 deductible. Only needed it once so far for some AC sensor and they paid without issue.
Apparently though they no longer cover ABC equipped vehicles, AMGs, or V12s or something like that.

2006 S350
I own a 2006 S350. I noticed that W220 shows the 2006 S320, not the S350. Is this an error? Anyhow, the other day I turned the engine off and something sounded like it was still running although the engine was off. My command center had no messages showing, but whatever was still running (either a generator or a compressor) would not shut down after repeated engine starts and stops. After awhile, a loud rhythmic banging sound started and would not stop unless i restarted the engine. The dealership decided that the alternator needed to be changed due to overheating and they said that there was some oil leaks so they replaced two valve cover gaskets, said they road tested the car and ebrything was ok, but when I started the car to leave, the airmatic message appeared on the command center. Turned car off and same compressor was still running. So, I paid $1,300 for the other work and they quoted me another $600 to fix the airmatic problem. Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

It always a good idea to take out the extended warranty. Most of them out there are reasonably priced, but make sure you read carefully what is covered and whats not. Make sure you read the small print!
