Mounting a front Licence plate

Hi
I recently bought a car that never had front plate on.

just wondering ,how easy to mount the bracket to put the front plate on

MB Dealer is asking $290+taxes to do it.

I thought , you just drill and mount the bracket?

Any ideas?
Thanks
Peter

Lol what a rip-off. All you need is a drill and the bolts you would like to use. Test fit your plate on the front bumper, take a sharpie and mark where you want to drill, then go for it. Another option is to put 3m double sided tape on the back of your plate and just stick it to your front bumper that way you dont have to drill. Or you could not run a plat at all and risk the $30 ticket. I mounted mine in about 5 minutes. Just make sure you get your holes and positioning lined up correctly.

Talking

i was driving without one until cop stopped me and gave me warning, and i just desired to drill holes and put licence plate. The reason i didn't want plates in front is because my car is dark color and i thought it would make it look bad, BUT i bought in Autozone tinted plate cover, and now it actually looks really nice. I suggest you do the same

OK, Thanks, that’s what I thought, but never had the guts to drill holes on the bumper
Any sensors nearby like airbag sensors?
Best Regards
Peter

Why ruin the car?

Just tape it with 3m if you want. I don't even have front plates no problem, I just wish I didn't have those nasty holes left over.

I think that drilling is the way to go
Tape it with 3m may not work in Canadian Winter (at times -40 to -45)

Thanks, Peter
