My car has the option 881 (RTL - remote opening and closing of the trunk), and has the hydraulic pump, etc. installed. The signals to activate the relays come from the PSE - A37 combined unit, but I am getting nothing out of the unit. The feedback angle pot is supposed to get 5V from the PSE, but it is not there. Everything else in the PSE works (soft close, head rests, ect.). I have pulled the fuse to try to reset the PSE and checked all the connections from the PSE to the pump relays and angle pot. Any chance the PSE has to be set up with Star diagnostics to activate the 881 option? I hate to buy a new PSE just for the trunk open / close feature. Any help really appreciated.

I would try sds connect first to make sure there is no adaptation needed for the unit. Id also be interested to see stored faults in sds for that control.

I am guessing the only place to get this done is at the dealer, right?

Thanks for you help. I will give that a try. There is an indie near me, but not sure what he would charge to run the tests. I will find out soon enough...
