More electrical woes.

Now, I have two issues with my S430 that I need some opinions on
1. Right window motor is gone. Dealer wants 500+labor. Ready to buy one off ebay and have a indie shop install.
2. Soft close on both front doors not working, the conclusion the stealership has gone to is that the PSE pump is dead. Others say it could be a leak in the system. I need some input on this, I'll try to be as descriptive as possible. Now, the front two doors don't work, but the trunk and rear doors work. I've tried to listen for any sound while trying to close the door and I hear nothing at all. But since theres only one pump and the rears are still working, so the pump really should be working?

Regarding your soft close feature, it is the nature of the beast (the PSE pump) to start misbehaving on specific locations when it nears the end of its life. It did it on the W140 (95S420) I owned and it is doing it on the W220 (02S500) I have now. Try resetting the fuse first to see if it was just a spurious error. I'd recommend reviewing the threads on the soft close to identify everything on your model though. Also note that it is impossible to diagnose these problems remotely.

Regarding the window motor, your call entirely.

I think the dealer tried the fuse when it first went in, but I'll check it again.

Now, something else, under colder conditions, when I start the car, the rear right window goes down.

I had it fixed as a electronic issue when the car went in at the stealership. The rear right window did go up in my case.
