Another 2003 S600 Integrated phone issue
Guys,
I'm still having trouble with my system. My 2003 S600 came with the cradle, and a PSE part number on blue sticker that says Q6820845. My research says that is the v60 PSE module. So I ordered the new universal PSE part number Q6820971 and it arrived yesterday. However, it looks identical to the one i already have, in fact it has the same blue sticker with almost exact same numbers except the serial number. It has the same Q6820845 number on it. However it has another white sticker that has the Q682 0971 on it. I decided to go ahead and try the new part out to see if it helps. No luck.
Guys, I have the blue tooth puck, and when I put it in the cradle and turn the car on the blue light flashes, however When I hit the TEL button on the radio it says "no telephone connected". So I went into the config menu by holding MUTE+1+3 for 10 seconds, and goto the diagnosis menu and reset the system. Basically it turns the radio off and on, and at this point when I hit the TEL button I get a message that says "phone being initialized" And it never changes.
I do not know what to do at this point. I am able to pair my phone with the puck, but I can never get the car to go past the "initializing phone" message.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Contact Keith Valentine, (aka Cellguy85 on ebay), to buy a MB/Verizon V60s phone which will works perfectly with your older V60i cradle. In my opinion, this is a better option than Bluetooth which has limited compatibility. Last time I checked he was selling brand new V60s phones for $175, complete with the MB proprietary software and the MB Logo Faceplate. You can also still buy the Verizon V60s MB phones from Auto Wirlesss Solutions, (MB's cellphone Partner), but they would charge you over $600 for the same phone WITHOUT the MB Logo Faceplate. (AWS now ships their MB/V60s phones with the standard Verizon Logo Faceplate).
The V60s will ensure you have COMPLETE COMPATIBILITY with the installed VCS, (Voice Command System), of your 2003 S600, and all the steering wheel buttons will work. The phone will be charged in the cradle when driving and will utilize the car's more powerful built in antenna.
You can reach Keith at (714) 746-5930. He may have some listed on ebay, but if not, just call him. He was formerly employed by an MB Dealer to install these systems, so knows virtually everything about MB compatible phone systems.
I have purchased several of these MB V60s phones from Keith myself. Got one for my 2003 SL500 Sport and picked up another late last year for my 2006 CL55 AMG. Even picked up a very rare AMG Faceplate from him for the latter. Last time I spoke with him he had V60 cradles and all the Bluetooth options available as well, but those all items are in limited supply, so suggest you act quickly. (Cellguy85 is a 100% Positive Feedback Seller on ebay).
