Scored illum. doorsills; install price??
I think I got lucky on e bay and won a set of oem new Illuminated sills with 4 sills, only 2 light strips, for $225 (assuming they show up).
I checked with 3 local MB dealers and got the following labor costs: 1)$200 per side (front only) and they have not installed any yet, 2) $546 for all 4 and seemed to be familiar with job, and 3) $225 for all 4, having already done a number of them.
The cheap one is out in the sticks, but still a MB dealer. I grilled them about installation, they said they follow the instructions, no splicing or anything halfassed.
Is there any reason I should beware of the cheapest one?

So YOU'RE the one who grabbed them! Hahahaha...I was gonna bid on them, but took too much time thinking about it!! lol
If its done by a dealer, its under warranty and if they screw it up, they'll have to replace and repair everything. I wouldn't worry about the low quote.
I was gonna buy my buddy dinner if he would put mine in for me. He's a MB tech at my local dealer. LOL.
Damn...back to surfing! I'm still looking for a good deal on OEM Xenon headlamps for my 2000 S430.

Yep, that's where I'm going. I checked around and they also have a very good reputation. I found rear light strips, so all 4 doors will be lit. I'm looking forward to it.
