How did you purchase your S?

I'm curious to know how people here purchased their S. It seems that a few people here bought theirs as used, but how was it paid it off? Cash? PCP? Hire Purchase? Was it bought at a dealer?

Thanks

I paid with a guaranteed re-purchase agreement based on my kid's (expensive) computer equipment, added cash from the credit card and a hire-loan agreement from the bank. The dealer took my motorized lawnmover as trade-in. The rest I pay him monthly.

Now to my question to all: how many times did you make love in the Merc? Did it matter that the front seats do not fully recline flat? Is a leather upholstery advantageous for this? Do you put the shades down on the rear windows and the back? Do you lift the car higher (Airmatic) beforehand? Did you think of the way you purchased the car while making these adjustments and did it influence your enjoyment? If you paid cash, was this by money transfer or with bills?

Easy! I dislike these surveys that have no real meaning. The last survey where I left a similar message was when a guy asked "what type of computer do you have" .... adding that Merc drivers have a poor reputation regarding computer savvyness ... and that he wanted to correct that impression.

This survey "how did you buy it" is an equally poor subject. How else would you buy a cheap second hand car except for cash?

I agree...... but thought I'd participate nevertheless.

not everyone bought the car used, thats the first thing, and the second thing is that a lot of people finance $2000 hondas.

While I could give a **** whether people paid cash or financed their vehicle, it could be meaningful to someone.

You're just a strange guy.

After all that, do you mean with another person?? Or are you making love to your car?

You didn't ask about using the massaging seat options, seat warming & cooling options, or (if the car has ABC) how things worked out during a Rodeo test - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niKM5ZPB3Sg.

Newbies! Got a lot to learn.

Front seat??? Come on! Push both front seats all the way forward and turn your S into a Love Machine- That's not a rear seat but a King size bed.

50% cash/50% financed...did not check the auction price before I bought it. I will when I buy my next S class (2004-2006 S65).
