Dealers trying to pull a fast one!

My friend was considering purchasing a 2K9 E550 with 51k miles for $36.000. He decide not to because of the price and mileage. First question, how can a fairly new car have that many miles on it? Second how can the dealer think of selling it at that price point? Yes the car was still under warranty but it's a lot to ask for a car with that kind of mileage.

25k a year is not that much for a daily driven car...I've used to rack up 2-3k miles a month just driving normally doing my everyday business.

They don't call it "stealership" for no reason! It's expected isn't it?

How is the overall condition on that car? Doing a quick search on google, it seems like most of the prices range from 34-38K...seems like a fair price (of course it could always be better) to me.

The car is in pretty good condition but it's still w lot of miles. I'm thinking 12k miles a year would be normal by my estimation. I guess it depends on your commute to work every day and how much you use it on the weekend.

12-15k is industry standard "normal". That said, there are plenty of cars with higher miles. I prefer a newer high mile car because the only way your going to rack those miles up is on the highway and those miles are gentle on the motor and suspension.

How does that price compare with Nada? Thats the real question.

For sweden that is a very good price, also that mileage is nothing. 17k miles /year is less than I drive and I don't drive much. When I drove the most I did that mileage every year...

Dude, no offense, but WTF is your post is doing in W220 forum anyway? E class has its own forum and you can talk all you want there about "industry standard" 12K/year nonsense
