Out here in Northern California a VW is just the cheapest way to get a feel of German Engineering. In the Silicon Valley since there are many "nice" cars, VW owners aren't like that (at least I'm not) since we know that our VW's are uncomparable.

Shaggy, the bmw's come with a sportier ride in the first place, so maybe the wheel size does not make as much difference. I still have a 735iL, so I can attest to that.
My stock wheeled S500 handled like the Mayflower compared to the bimmer. Its much better now with the 18's, but I would not go any larger.

The guy ended the auction so I can pay him $2,000 but I changed my mind agreeing with crankin that the large size of the rims would hurt the ride quality. Thanks for the advice crankin. I think I'd be interested in 18" chrome lowenhart ld1's now. . .
