Nav/Radio Screen dead

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my 2003 S55. When I turn on the radio, it doesn't seem to work and the screen just flashes a few times with garbled pixels. The car has the stock navigation system. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be? I don't drive it very often, but would like to sort out the problem.

Thanks!

If it is random pixels, that is a dead video processor or power supply in the COMAND. It can be sent in for service (or swap replace)

Thanks very much for the reply. It seems like the unit called it quits, so I'll look for a replacement. From what I've read on the forums, it looks like 2003 can only be swapped for 2003?

If you need a guide to troubleshoot it or show you how to swap it check out ALLDATAdiy. There is a link in my Sig, and we offer special MBWORLD pricing. It is all factory OEM data.
