Manhattan potholes, 2 flat tires at once!
So, I was driving with a few people in the car today - and I turned into a street around downtown Manhattan, go over the usual manhole/rough road, and my window is open. All of a sudden I hear a hissing sound. I think oh boy, what can this be - maybe it was something nearby. 10 feet later I roll to a stop, the car is feeling funny.
I get out, and look. Front tire is flat. One of my passengers tells me the rear tire is flat, too. What the! I can't believe both the front and rear tire got flat at the same time.
One I can handle, but two!? Haha, NYC roads are so bad.

maaaaan that sucks!!!
it makes me think that replacing the 20s for my original 18s STILL wont protect from anything, i know this saying "no matter where you are or what you have - still unsafe"

That must be some sort of record. I'm sorry man.
My friend in a G35 coupe ripped out his entire (less than a day old) exhaust on an exposed manhole cover like that.

Same thing happened to me here in utah. Poorly lit street, didn't see the 6 inch deep, yes six inch deep pothole. Both pass side tires flat. two bent Factory 55 amg rims. and a dammaged rear ABC block in the back from it. thank heavens I have good insurance.
