yes, do tell...why not a daily driver?
i've been enjoying my 05 S600 Sport this past year, and i think it's a fine daily driver(tho a bit boring unless i step on it a bit to unleash the beast).
yday by chance, i saw a 2006 S65 for sale...going to check it out this am. i wonder how much more TLC it might need vs. the S600?
it's certainly more rare, but i mainly miss the sportier shift/transmission of my S55 and thought the S65 might feel better, and then some....
i'd welcome everyone's input on this.

drove the S65 yday, and i really LOVED the throatier exhaust and the sportier shifting of the transmission. that said, here are a few reactions:

1) it's black - much tougher to keep clean, and very hot in summer vs. my silver
2) there are 4 paint blemishes - one looks like it got egged and drive, 2 small touch up, and one chip on bumper(along w/ many small hood chips).
3) the rear head-rests do not "release" and go flat - button not working, and it's not cov'd under CPO warranty.
4) last/importantly, the steering seems ok, but the steering wheel is a bit of center. the owner said he's never had alignment and the new tires wore evenly, but mainly he didn't do because when he did alignment on his prior "distronic" MB, the cruise control didn't work as well after that.
5) a few indentations in the backseat from previously having kids/booster seat - it looks permanent.
6) brakes will be $8k+...and hearing 1 qt oil/1k miles...not used to that other than in my old Porschess.

i'm still thinking about the S65, but i'm not 100% sold that the switching costs are worth the hassle, especially as it'll be even more difficult to sell the S65 in the next time given these imperfections(my S600 is spotless and everything works).

i welcome everyone's input.

I think the S65 is amazing. I drove it once and the power was incredible, but if your S600 is in better shape I would keep it untill maybe i came by a perfect S65 for sale.
